我为什么要读博（英语）

Why I pursue my Ph.D study

Nowadays, Some women hold the opinion that they merely need to have a temporary job to support themselves independently, and they need not study more in order to get a higher degree to compete with men in the world. While some young girls assume that if a girl was a Ph.D student, she may lose the opportunity to love, ending up to be a miserable lonely person, so they give up the pursuit.

如今，一些女性认为自己仅需要一份独立的工作能够养活自己就行了，她们不需要在这个竞争的社会里努力学习以获得一个高收入的工作。而另一些年轻的女孩则认为为了获得一个博士学位，她们可能牺牲了爱情，甚至变成一个没有着落的人，因此她们放弃读博。

But, for me, I do my best to seize the opportunity to complete my doctoral education , why? There are three reasons contribute to it.

然而，对于我来说，我却努力想得到读博的机会，为什么哪，原因如下：

First of all, It comes from my personal motivation. I am a college teacher, and I want to be an excellent college teacher in the future. Through pursuing a doctor's degree I can better prepare to teach: I can treat problems from a higher standpoint, can get deeper knowledge of my fields, also can learn the latest front research of my major, which are ugly needed in my future research. But most important of all, I enjoy the satisfaction and happiness through the process of learning.

（接下来的原因就）首先是来自我自己的动力，我是一个大学老师，我的愿望是将来成为一个出色的老师，博士的学习对实现我的理想有帮助，我可以在一个更高的起点上看待问题，可以获得我这个领域的更深的知识，也可以学到我研究领域的最新的前沿，这些都是我将来进行研究需要的，最重要的是我在学习的过程中获得了快乐和满足。

Secondly, as a college teacher, job classification, treatment improving are closely linked to the ascension of degree, it is the most realistic reason to prompt me to accept the Dr. degree education. Although I am a female, I still want to do the work well, be economic independence, contribute to my family.

其次，作为一名高校教师，职称的评定，待遇的提高，与学历的提升紧密相连，这也是促使我读博的最现实的原因。然而作为一名女性，我依然希望自己能够做到工作出色、经济独立，能够为我的家庭做出自己的贡献。

The most important for me is the support from my family. I have a fairly good family , my parents respect my own choice and dream, and do their best to support me from every aspect. during my Ph.D study period, they share most of the housework ,be my strong backing. My father also set a fairly good example for me to study hard. when I was little, he often talk about his colleagues' children who read Ph.D. At that time , I saw admiration and expectation in his eyes, I knew the most proud things for him was the success I acquired in my study. Even during that time, the seed of being doctoral candidate was deeply planted in my heart.

当然还有一个重要的原因是我家庭的支持，我生活在一个相对开明的家庭，我的父母和丈夫尊重我的想法，他们会在各个方面支持我。对于我在博士期间的学习，他们为我分担大部分的家务，是我坚强的后盾。（我的父亲给我树立了一个好好学习的榜样，在我小的时候他常和我说起他同事家孩子，说谁家孩子读了博士，在那个时候我从他的眼睛里看到了羡慕和期望，那时候我知道他最引以为豪的事情就是我在学业上的进步，在那个时候，读博得种子在我心底已经播下了。）

In conclusion, the reason I pursue my Ph.D. has been clarified above, and I will concentrate on my learning process , draw full attention to what I will study every day, and also enjoy the process of realizing my dream.

我读博的原因正如我上面所说的，我会注重我的学习过程，每一天都认真学习，当然我也会享受为了理想而努力的过程。
