一、结构

标题：新闻报道的题目（一般已给出）

导语：扼要揭示出消息的核心内容。可用一句话或或一段话说明消息的核心内容即“5w”——when, where, who, what和why。

主体：文章的主干部分，要求事实充足，进一步展开和阐述导语。

结语：对全文进行总结，或对新闻的发展做出预测，或提醒人们继续关注。

二、常用句型

1. I’d like to say something about...

2. It happened that...

3. ... were well thought of by the people around.

4. ... did something to help...

5. When it was time for...to leave, ...thanked...for...

6. ... said it was such a wonderful day that ... would never forget it.

7.Upon one’s arrival, ...were warmly welcomed.

三、作文模板

导语（第一段）：时间，地点，人物，事件/活动。

主体（第二段）：按作文要求对整个过程进行叙述报道。

结语（第三段）：（报道人的评论/感受）...was/were very happy/sad...For one thing, 评论/感受1. For another, 评论/感受2.（总结）What they did has brought...to...and enriched their own life./Never will ...forget that moment!/What a wonderful time!等

四、范例

Student Volunteers Brought Sunshine to the Elderly

On May Day, Li Hua and Zhang Yue, students from Class Three, Grade Three, went to Sunshine Nursing Home and did some voluntary work.

Upon their arrival, Li Hua and Zhang Yue were warmly welcomed, and they presented the elderly with flowers and fruits. After that they started working at once, cleaning the windows and sweeping the floor. Everything done,they sat in the yard chatting with the elderly people. When it was time for the volunteers to leave, the elderly people thanked them for their kindness. They said it was such a beautiful day that they would remember it forever.

Li Hua and Zhang Yue were very happy. What they did has brought joy and warm sunshine to the elderly and enriched their own life.
