My name is Jane Eyre and my story really begins when I was ten years old.I was living with my aunt.Mrs Reed,because my mother and farther were both dead.Mrs Reed was very rich and her house was large and beautiful ,but I was not happy there.My three cousins,Eliza,John and Georgiana,were older than me.They teased me,and never wanted to play with me.Sometimes they were very cruel.I was afraid of them.Most of all,I was afraid of John Reed.He liked to frighten me and he made me very unhappy.I often hid from him in a small room.I liked to look at the pictures in the big books from the library there.

Edward Rochester - Jane’s employer and the master of Thornfield, Rochester is a wealthy, passionate man with a dark secret that provides much of the novel’s suspense. Rochester is unconventional, ready to set aside polite manners, propriety, and consideration of social class in order to interact with Jane frankly and directly. He is rash鲁莽的 and impetuous浮躁的 and has spent much of his adult life roaming about Europe in an attempt to avoid the consequences of his youthful indiscretions. His problems are partly the result of his own recklessness, but he is a sympathetic figure because he has suffered for so long as a result of his early marriage to Bertha.

1. Love Versus Autonomy爱情与独立自主Jane Eyre is very much the story of a quest to be loved. Jane searches, not just for romantic love, but also for a sense of being valued, of belonging. Yet, over the course of the book, Jane must learn how to gain love without sacrificing and harming herself in the process. Her fear of losing her autonomy motivates her refusal of Rochester’s marriage proposal. Jane believes that “marrying” Rochester while he remains legally tied to Bertha would mean rendering herself a mistress and sacrificing her own integrity for the sake of emotional gratification.
2. Women's pursuit of freedom and equality女性追求自由与平等的精神
In this novel,Jane Eyre believes that love should be built on the basis of equality, and should not be determined by social status, wealth and appearance, only men and women love each other, can get real happiness. If I were Jane Eyre,when I falled love with a man who has a lunatic wife.I would not leave him and I would company with him even without the status which goes with being a wife.Because I don’t want to see his life is filled with torment.So I am very admire Jane,she chose leave when she knew Edward Rochester aleardy has a wife although she really loved him.Actually, she thinking of Her own destiny, value, status clearly.She has a rational understanding of her own ideas and personality.She has a firm purist of her own happiness and emotion. In today's society, people are crazy for money and status but drowned love. Between the rich and the poor, they choose rich, and in love and not love to choose not love. Few people will be like Jane Eyre abandon all personality for love, and proceed without hesitation.
