2 Enable students learn and understand the important grammar points.
Grammar: simple past tense.

1 Help students learn to read a passage in three aspects: content, language, and structure.
2 Enable students learn to analysis the passage and complete the relative tasks.

1 Enable students learn to cooperate and take active part in the class.
2 Help students learn some emotional knowledge from the passage such as what to do when we are in trouble, and how to be faced with our changeable life.

Step1: Pre-reading (Lead-in)
T: Hello, everyone, first I will show you some pictures,(PPT展示 brainstorm) can you tell me what are they about? And who is she? Or what do you think of them when you watched them first time?
Ss: I think she is an actress…
I think she comes from America …
I think she act these films…
I think she is famous for the films…
T: Ok, good! I want to know whether you like foreign film stars. And do you know who the most famous film actress is?
Ss: ……
Step 2 While reading
T: now, turn to page 55, and look at the topic: Julia Roberts---A Hollywood Film Star.
First, you should skim the whole passage in 3minuutes with these questions.

6.which 引导的定语从句（详情见第二学时）
7. It’s …that…强调句 可以省略，表强调。
eg: it’s my teacher that tell me the truth.

Fifthly, T: you need read the passage loudly by yourself. And you should talk with your partner how to analysis the structures.

十、Self-reflection
I think this lesson will be the successful one, because most ss can cooperate with me smoothly and positively in class, I’m honored to teach and learn with them. We can know the truth belief when we are in trouble. We also can be faced with the problems together and solve it in time .so I believe we can learn better together!
