London is home to some of the most iconic(图标性的) attractions in the world. Here we pick out top 5 must-see attractions for London visitors.

London Eye

Visit London: get a unique view of London from the River Thames. Taller than Big Ben and more popular than any other paid-for London attraction, the London Eye offers the most spectacular views of the city, with visibility of up to 40km in all directions.

The tower of London

It is impossible not to be drawn in by the history of the Tower of London. See the spot where Anne Boleyn was hanged to death, the infamous White Tower where Richard III imprisoned(囚禁) his young nephews. The Crown Jewels, is still proudly in place although it was once stolen by Colonel Blood in 1671.

Tower Bridge

Often confused with London Bridgeprobably because it looks so much more impressive-Tower Bridge is one of the most talented examples of Victorian engineering. The lifting bridge was designed in 1884 to allow large ships to pass unobstructed along the Thames. It is still raised and lowered two or three times a day. The bridge also houses an excellent exhibition about the history of the bridge and offers fantastic views of the city from its high-level walkways.

The Royal Observatory

Part of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, the Royal Observatory is home to the National Meridian Line. This line officially separates East from West at Longitude 0° and is known as the “Prime Meridian”. It also represents the official centre of world time-Greenwich Mean Time. By placing your feet on either side of the line, you can stand in both the eastern and western hemispheres simultaneously.

Buckingham Palace

If you have never been to London before, a visit to Her Majesty’s place of residence is a must. Of the Palace’s 775 rooms-used by the Queen and her guests for official and state entertaining-are open to the public, between August and September each year. These are well worth seeing as they contain some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto, sculpture by Canova and priceless of porcelain and furniture.

China may be the worlds largest market for electrical bikes(e-bikes), but Europe is fast catching up. The EUs official statistics agency says the figure reached the one million e-bike mark two years ago, and sales have sharply increased since then.

When working errands (差事) around Berlin, Lutz, who usually works with horses, uses the companys new e-bike that charges easily and has a range of 140 kilometers. We found there was no parking spot problem or other worries. And on top of all this, we dont pollute the environment. Petrol is also saved, said Lutz Baddack, owner of Reitsport Baddack.

Unlike many other parts of the world, the EU does not require registration (登记) for e-bikes. Nearly half a million are expected to be sold in Germany this year, in all shapes and sizes.

Its not just bike fans buying them. People who usually drive cars also use them occasionally, said Stefan Gelbhaar.

Dealers say the elderly are also big customers. Sales of ordinary bicycles fell in Germany last year, but sales of e-bikes rose by eight percent. Sales figures are expected to keep rising. In five years we will have the market share of 20 percent, maybe more, said Marcus Kendler, owner of E-Motion. In the hillier parts, that figure has already been beyond it.

When you hear negative comments coming from within yourself, tell yourself to stop. Try building your confidence by listing three things in your day that really gave you pleasure. A gift or present is the transfer of money or goods. By definition it sounds so simple, but holiday gift ideas present a great struggle year after year. Many people are bothered by choosing the appropriate gifts for the loved ones. Luckily, many original ideas are available on the internet.

When material objects are given as gifts, in many cultures they are traditionally packaged in some manner. In Chinese culture, red wrapping symbolizes luck. Holiday gifts can be found on the internet and usually just purchased there, shipped to your doorstep.

The best gift to give on some holidays would just be candy. Halloween and Easter are two such holidays where the most appropriate gift is candy. Whatever your holiday needs may be you will find the most variety in your holiday gifts with the use of the internet.
