It was an autumn day, but the weather didn't seem to know the difference between autumn and winter. A big snow came so early this year that we hadn't prepared for it.

We have two apple trees in our garden Prana loved apples When she went outside, she would dig a hole to hide some apples and carry an apple to the house. The apple was often dirty, so I wasn't happy when Prana had brought it into the house. After she understood why I felt like this, she would turn her head so I wouldn't see her apple. It was our little game.

One day, Prana went outside and I watched her from the window. I saw that she was digging and bringing the apples to the surface.

When I called her back into the house, she had an apple in her mouth as usual. About five minutes later, I looked outside. The yard was filled with birds. Prana had dug up all the apples for her bird friends to eat. She knew that they wouldn't have enough food for such an early winter!
