Sentence Structure

1. The Hyde School operates on the principle that if you teach students the merit of such values as truth, courage, integrity, leadership, curiosity and concern, then academic achievement naturally follows. (Para.1)

功能:表示主语遵照……的原则经营/行事

结构:主语+fear(s)/fear(ed)/be afraid that+宾语从句

功能:表达主语害怕/担心…………

e.g. The teacher feared that his son would regard it a favor if she include him in her class.
