Good morning,my dear teachers.I consider it a great honor to stand here to give you a speech.First let me introduce myself. My name is Huang Fengming and I am a junior student of Linyi University majoring in normal English.Today,the title of my speech is my ideal.
Different person has different ideals. For me, to be a teacher is my ideal.Why don’t I take being a teacher as my dream?Because there are some difference between deams and ideals.Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. Martin Luther King’s dream is the black people’s equality in the United States. As an ordinary girl.I have a lot of dreams, too. I ever had a dream that I am always young. Then I will have enough energy to do everything whenever I want. I know that my dream will not come true just because that is a dream. A dream is something that hard to achieve belonging to the young, it can be an illusion. On the other side, an ideal is achievable.It follows you all over your life.You may not notice it even though you have achieved it. I think that having an ideal means we have an idea and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. My ideal is to be an excellent English teacher after graduation. When I was a little girl,my parents had told me to be a teacher when I grow up.But at that time,I was too young to understand the meaning of being a teacher.After I entered the Middle School,I met my first English teacher.She was gentle,optimistic,patient.We became good friends and English became my favourite subject.From then on,I decided to be a good English teacher.So I choose to study normal English in university to learn the technic of being a teacher. As an English teacher, I can influence my students.Not only can they learn language but also know what is right from wrong. Besides, I can learn from my students and I will always feel young to be with my students. What's more, I will have lots of free time to do whatever I like, such as traveling, reading, retraining and so on.
Teachers are the models of their students.Teachers will always love their students as same as their children. To be a teacher should be fun but challenging. So I must try my best to study hard to imprve my teaching potential.Just as the old saying,it’s never too old to learn.
