2Ask the students to repeat the sentences in the box.

Step 3Practice

1Revise the usage of the present continuous tense.

2Look at the picture in Activity 1.Ask students to read the example sentence Tony is calling a friend. and find out who is Tony in the picture.

3Ask students to answerWhat can you see? What are they doing?

4Read through the conversation in Activity 2 with the whole class.
