For the safety of our passengers, the following items must not be taken onto the plane:---Bottles containing gas (e.g. cigarette lighter)可知,含有气体的瓶子是不允许带上飞机的,故选A

If you have any liquid medicines over 100ml that you must use during your flight, please contact our customer service manager on 34533566 to make arrangements at least 24 hours before your departure.

3推理判断题Carry-on Bag Rules可知包的大小限制为110cm long, 60cm high and 30cm wide,题中所给的大小为110cm*50cm*25cm没有超过限制的要求。

On a hot summer day in America a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. He dived into the cool water, not realizing that as he swam towards the middle of the lake, a crocodile was swimming toward him.

His mother in the house was looking out of the window and saw the two as they got closer and closer. In great fear, she ran toward the water, shouting to her son as loudly as she could. Hearing her voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his mother. It was too late. Just as he reached her, the crocodile reached him. From the shore, the mother grabbed her little boy by the arms just as the crocodile snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war (拔河) between the two. The crocodile was much stronger than the mother, but the mother was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard their screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the crocodile.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his mother's fingernails dug into his flesh in her effort to hang on to the son she loved.

The newspaper reporter, who interviewed the boy, asked if he would show him his scars(伤疤). The boy lifted his legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, “But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Mom wouldn’t let go.”

Never judge another person's scars, because you don't know how they were made.

4Which of the following is most related to the underlined word “passionate”?

AAnxious. BDetermined.

CFrightened. DCourageous.

5Who killed the crocodile in the end?

AA farmer. BThe boy’s mother.

CThe boy. DThe boy’s father.

6In the story the writer intends to tell us that __________.

Ascars always remind people of their past experiences

Bit’s dangerous to swim alone in the water

Cthe boy also feels painful in his mind

Dscars do not necessarily mean pain at all times

7Which of the following will be the best title for the text?

AA Terrible Experience

BWomen Hold up Half the Sky

CScars of Love

DDon't Judge by Appearances

The crocodile was much stronger than the mother可知鳄鱼比这位母亲更强壮,后半句用了but连接,表示转折,说明母亲并没有被鳄鱼的强壮所吓倒,而是很有胆量的(courageous)牢牢地抓住儿子的胳膊不放开,所以此处passionate的意思是有胆量的(courageous),故选D。

A farmer happened to drive by, heard their screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the crocodile.

Never judge another person's scars, because you don't know how they were made.

Last night, on my way home I stopped because of being attracted by some hamburgers at a fast food restaurant. On my way in, a homeless man approached me and asked, “Do you have any bottles lying around?” I knew he would recycle them for a few cents, but I didn’t have any, so I said no. And again he asked, “Can you spare some change (零钱)?” I smiled, and said no again. He was very respectful; he smiled back and said, “OK, thank you.” Even though he didn’t have anything, he was still in good spirits. From the way he spoke I could tell he was smart.

Then I bought one hamburger and enjoyed my meal, but in the back of my mind I wondered whether the homeless man was hungry. After I finished my meal I decided to order another one for him. At this point I didn’t know if he was still around, but I tried anyway.

At the counter I ordered a hamburger and also a hot chocolate, because it was cold outside, and I thought it would help warm him up. They delivered me the hot chocolate first and as I waited for my hamburger, I noticed the homeless man was standing right beside me. I looked at him and smiled, “This hot chocolate is for you.”He replied like a gentleman,“Thank you so much. That’s very kind of you.”

I always believe no matter how hard up (缺钱) I am, there are always those who are worse off than I. When you help someone, it’s not always about money, it’s about love. The love you give today, someone might forget tomorrow. It doesn’t matter. Love anyway, because the greatest thing you can give is love.
