Undergraduate Program for Specialty in Functional Materials
一、 培养目标
Ⅰ. Educational objectives 本专业培养掌握材料科学与工程、物理、化学、生物医学、能源、信息、环境等学科的相关基础理论和功能材料及其器件化专门知识的高素质复合型人才,掌握光、电、热、磁等功能材料与器件的工艺原理、制备技术及分析测试方法,能够从事多种功能材料设计、制备、表征、改性以及器件化的研究和开发工作;毕业后预期能够在能源转换或储存材料、生物材料、传感材料、敏感材料、生态环境材料等相关企事业单位从事技术开发和技术管理工作。
The program is designed to enable the students to be innovative talents in the field of Functional Materials. The major brings up students extensive knowledge not only including Functional Materials expertise but also a wide range of basic knowledge in multiple disciplines such as material science and engineering, physics, chemistry, biomedicine, energy, information and environment science. This program also helps students develop their knowledge and capabilities about technical principles, preparation technologies and analysis-testing methods for optical, electrical, thermal and magnetic functional materials and devices. When this program is completed, the students are expected to acquire the abilities to design, prepare, characterize, modify different kinds of functional materials and make functional materials related devices. The graduates in this program can do research and development work in many fields such as energy conversion and storage, biomaterials, sensor materials and ecomaterials. They are also competent in management work as a staff in functional materials related enterprises and public institutions.
二、基本规格要求 Ⅱ.Skills Profile 本专业主要学习材料科学与工程领域中有关功能材料与器件的基础理论和应用技术,毕业生应获得如下几个方面的知识和能力:
1. 具有较为扎实的自然科学基础,较好的人文、艺术和社会科学基础及素质;
2. 系统掌握材料科学与工程领域的坚实的基础理论和专业知识,主要包括材料科学基础、功能材料及其器件化、能源材料、敏感技术与传感器智能化、纳米材料与器件等,掌握多种功能材

料的生产制备工艺、成分、组织、结构以及性能测试与控制方法;
3. 具有从事功能材料与器件专业所需的制图、计算、实验、测试、文献检索和基本工艺操作等基本技能;
4. 熟悉本专业领域各个方向的专业技术,了解学科的前沿及发展趋势; 5. 具有较好的外语能力、自学能力、富有创新精神,具备较高综合素质。
As a student of this program, you will gain, 1. Solid grounding in both natural sciences and humanities & arts;
2. Excellent basic training in material science and engineering, including fundamentals of materials science and engineering, functional materials and devices, energy materials, sensor technology and sensor intelligentization, nanomaterials and devices; grasping knowledge on production techniques, composition, texture, microstructure, performance testing and control methods for various functional materials. 3. Skills of mechanical drafting, calculating, experimenting, testing, literature searching and technical operations related with functional materials;
4. Familiar with expertise in different fields, understand the advanced achievements and trend in this area
