1. 词汇

本册课本主体部分（Let’s talk 和Read）共出现单词117个，其中要求能认读并掌握的有33个。

2. 语言结构

本册涉及的语法项目有一般现在时，祈使句，选择疑问句和形容词比较级的用法。各课主题句如下：

每课均有一篇短文，一般是幽默故事或知识小品，旨在提高学生的阅读能力，培养学生的学习英语的兴趣。目标为只要学生能够理解和熟读课文，并能够回答与课文相关的问题即可。时间充裕则可让程度较好的同学进行复述。

5. 练习

在课堂上能认真思考，能在老师的指导下完成，并能掌握一些做题方法及技巧。能针对所学内容举一反三，并进行灵活运用。
