教学准备

A tape recorder,some things in the classroom

教学过程

Step Warm-up

Greetings and revision.Show some things in the classroom,asking and answering like this:

T:What’s this in English?

Ss:It’s a pen.

T:Spell it, please.

Ss:P-E-N,pen.

T:Yes,thank you.

Show other things,and have students work in pairs to make conversations like this.Show three ways to express spell words.

1. Spell it,please.

2. How do you spell it?

3. -Can you spell it ?

-Yes,I can.

Step Presentation

1.Teach the new words

Show a watch,ask and answer like this:

T:What’s this in English?

Ss:It’s a watch.

T:How do you spell it?

Ss:W-A-T-C-H,watch.

T:Yes,you are great.

Teach other words,show pictures.Ss repeat new words after the teacher three times.

2.Activity 1a

Ask students to read the words and expressions in 1a one by one.

Then have them look at the picture carefully and match the words with things in the picture.Finally,check the answers.

3.Activity 1b

First,ask students to read through the instructions of 1b and explain the language point.Have students make conversations using the things in 1a in pairs.

Leave students five minutes to do this task.As they work,move around the room,checking progress and offering help.

Finally,invite some pairs to act out their conversations for the whole class.

Step Practice

1.Activity 1c(Listening practice)

Go over the words and expressions in1a again.Then play the recording.The first time students listen carefully and circle the things they hear.

The second time check the answers.

2.Activity 1d.

Lead students to look at the two cards in 1d so that they can know how to do this activity.Play the recording again.Students listen carefully and write down the things that belong to Linda or Mike in the cards.Play twice.Then check the answers.

3.Activity 1e

Read the instructions in 1e.Read the two conversations in 1d.Students repeat after the teachers three times.Then give them 5 minutes to work in pairs.Divide them into two groups and role play the conversations.

Step Consolidation

Do some extra exercises in class.Check the answers together.

Step Summary

Sum up today’s lesson.In this class,we’ve learned how to identify things and spell words.We’ve done some listening and speaking practice.

Step Homework

1.Copy new words in students’ exercise books six times.

2.Practice the target language.

3.Preview the next period.

教学反思

本节课教学Section B第一课时。我先通过出示实物和图片教学新单词,加深学生的印象,帮助学生用形象思维记忆单词。然后利用目标语言教学生辨认物体,并练习拼写单词。让学生在听力练习和结对合作编对话的过程中熟练掌握本节课所学的知识。课堂上,学生的学习兴趣浓厚,能认真听讲、积极发言与交流,在Pairwork中表现出色,完成了本节课的教学任务。不足之处在于部分学生基础差,不善于表达,胆小羞怯,今后我应当注重这些学生的英语学习状况,及时补差补缺,帮助他们找到正确的学习方法,促进全班英语水平的提高。
