R: For 10 000 yen you’ll have a radio, a color television, a telephone and a major international newspaper delivered to your room every morning.

R: No problem. A quite room away form the street is preferred. Excuse me, madam, what about your breakfast? Will you be happy to have a proper Japanese breakfast in your room or have it at the breakfast buffet?

L: Oh, no!!! I wish to make a complaint. I’d like to see the manager, please.

V: Ok.

M: I’m the manager here. What can I do for you madam?

L: I want to have my dress laundry and send it back before 6 P.M this evening, but your valet says I have to fill a form and put it into the bag to wait for the laundry man to collect it. It’s difficult for me! I can’t understand the form. It’s written in Japanese!

M: Ok, I see. I’m sorry to hear about that. It’s the rule of our hotel, but I can help you to fill in it. Is it ok?

L: Yes! It’s very kind of you! (Filling in the form in room 202).

M: Please tell me or you can notify in the list whether you need your dress ironed, washed, dry, cleaned or mended.

L: I’d like my dress dry-cleaned and ironed, what if there is any laundry damage?

M: In such a case, the hotel should certainly pay for it. The indemnity shall not exceed ten times the laundry.

L: That sounds quite reasonable. I hope there’s no damage at all.

M: Of course, it will be not.

L: When can I have my laundry back?

M: We’ll deliver it before 5 P.M, I guess! Don’t worry madam; the laundry department has wide experience in their work.
