If I can choose my own career(n.职业), I would like to be a doctor. Though doctors are sometimes misunderstood(被误解) by others, they deserve(v.值得) to be respected(被尊重) because they play such an important and meaningful role in our society.

Illnesses(n.疾病) always bring pains(n.痛苦) to us humans, but doctors can help us get rid of them. Doctors are trained to know the causes of different kinds of illnesses and the best ways to cure(v.医治) the patients(n.病人). They can bring patients from illness to happiness and give them the hope to live on.

To be a doctor is not easy for everyone. It requires要求 a kind heart and a difficult process(n.过程) of learning. But I have the faith(n.信仰) in overcoming(v.克服) all the difficulties（n.困难） and realizing(v.实现) my dream. I'll work hard to learn as much as possible(尽可能多), particularly(adv.尤其是) chemistry(n.化学) and biology(n.生物). To realize my dream of becoming a doctor, I will try my best without hesitation(n.犹豫).

With the development(n.发展) of science and technology(n.科技), our lives have changed a lot in the past century(n.世纪). Many things that wouldn’t happen before have come into reality(n.现实) now. Therefore(adv.因此), our lives will change as well in the future. So what will our future be like?

To start with, our pace(n.速度) of life will greatly speed up(加速), because we will have many machines to finish our work. For example, many things can be done(完成) by computers and robots. Therefore, people will have more time for fun. What’s more, people can travel to the moon, the Mars or other planets. We may even live there! Besides(adv.此外), our environment will be much better than now, because we will take actions(采取行动) to protect(v.保护) the environment. The earth will still be a beautiful home for humans.
