Activity 2 Tips on writing a notice and the format of a notice：

一审体裁：应用文

二审结构: 通知主要包括标题、正文、发出通知的单位和时间。通知常用Notice或NOTICE作标题，写在正文上方正中位置。正文部分需要介绍通知的相关内容，可以从四个方面展开叙述。首先是活动举办的目的和主题。其次写明通知的对象以及活动要求。接下来介绍活动的内容，然后是向广大学生发出邀请。最后，标明发出单位名称、时间。通知的分布单位常写在正文结束的右下方，分布时间写在单位名称的左下角或者正文的右上角（在Notice的下一行）。

三审要点：用____________(英语/中文)思维，理出写作的要点。

为帮助同学们了解外国学生的校园生活，你校准备于5月16举办一场主题为“我的学校生活”的演讲活动， 由英国留学生Lisa和美国留学生Michelle根据她们各自国家学生的学习和课余生活情况分别做一场演讲。假设你是校学生会的负责人，请你根据这次活动内容，写一则英语书面通知。字数：100词左右。

Notice

In order to help Chinese students have a good understanding of foreign students’ campus lives, our school will invite two foreign students to make speeches about students’ school lives in their countries. One student is Lisa from Britain. She will introduce British students’ study life. The other student is an American girl called Michelle. She will lecture on American students’ activities after school. Their speeches will be given in our school on May 16th. All students are welcome.

In order make your notice more attractive, you should include all the important information and make sure it is clear and attractive.

Homework:

新学期开始了， 你校的英语俱乐部决定招募一批新成员。假定你是该英语俱乐部的负责人李华，请你根据下表提示，以俱乐部的名义用英语写一则通知。

NOTICE

We're going to have interesting activities in the school library at 8:00 a.m on October 20, 2015. By then, some of us will read poems and some will tell stories. You can also hear wonderful singing and watch beautiful dancing there. We hope every senior student can come and take part in the activities. All the teachers will be invited to join us. Please get one performance ready because some of you will probably be asked to give us one．
