在消费视域下的知识经济时代，文化产业的发展受到了世界各国的空前重视。随着中国国民经济持续、健康、稳定的发展，综合国力的提高，人民收入增多，闲暇时间的增加，精神文化生活的需求增加，作为“朝阳产业”的旅游产业正在迅速蓬勃壮大。中华民族是一个历史悠久又充满智慧的民族，孕育和积累了极为丰富的历史文化资源。近年来，国内旅游产业的快速发展和持续升温，为了保证旅游景区的可持续发展，旅游产品和服务供给的内容逐步丰富和完善，激发了演艺业和旅游业的良性互动和有机结合，产生了一项独特的文化产业项目——中国大型山水实景演出。
中国大型三水实景演出起源于“景观歌剧”，在2003年张艺谋《印象·刘三姐》首演成功的同时诞生。自手部大型山水实景演出推向市场以来，获得了巨大的经济效益和较好的社会效益，而且给文化产业的创新带来了新的思路。
本文主要以张艺谋的“印象”系列和梅帅元为代表的大型山水实景演出为例，实践与理论相结合，分析中国大型实景演出的发展现状、问题及解决方法。
