8A Unit 5 Wild animals Reading 1教学设计

Teaching Objectives

Knowledge:

1. Learn some new words about giant pandas and wild animals, and try to master the usage of such words: mean, beginning, sadly, face , sadly, serious mainly however, result; and try to master the phases : be born, look like, not…..any more, live on ,at four months old

2. Understand the general idea of the story.

Skills:

1. Use different reading strategies to make the reading process more efficient.

2. Try to improve the students’ ability to guess the meaning of the new words according to the text.

Affection, Attitude and Cultural Awareness:

To make ss realize the importance of protecting wild animals

Step One Lead in

1. Talk about the students’ favourite animals

2. Let ss guess what kind of wild animal the teacher like best to lead in giant pandas.

3. Then present the pictures of giant pandas

【设计意图】让学生讨论自己最喜欢的动物,引发对动物的兴趣从而自然过渡引入课题,进入到课文情境中来。

Step Two Presentation

1.Looking at the pictures (刚出生,长大后, 正在吃竹笋的大熊猫) 三张图片组图

T: Do you know Why I like giant pandas best? Because giant pandas are very lovely . They look like white mice when they are born. In the beginning, they drink milk. Six months later, they begin to eat bamboo. They live mainly on bamboo. Sadly ,giant pandas face serious problems in the wild. They ‘re in danger. We must take action to protect them right away.教师边陈述,边呈现划线部分单词词组。 使用隐藏功能将这些单词词组隐藏在相应的图旁边

2. Ask ss to guess the meaning of the words and phrases read after the teacher.

3. Review the new words and phrases quickly 整体呈现与Reading相关所有生词,采用隐藏功能遮盖单词的中文或英文让学生迅速说出相关信息。

4.Finish P59 B1 Match the words with the meanings

【设计意图】巩固生词为接下来的课文阅读扫除障碍。

Step Three Pre- reading

1. Listen to the tape and try to divide the text into three parts. Ask ss to read the passage on page58 quickly , and divide the text into three parts , then ask ss to say out the main idea of each paragraph

【设计意图】通过简单的填词激发学生进一步了解课文,产生要了解“希望”的强烈好奇心

Step Four While-reading

1. T: Do you want to know more about Xi Wang? Xiwang wrote three letters to us.

Let’s read her letters.

The first letter: Hello. I’m Xi Wang. Are you willing to make friends with me? Here is my growth.

The second letter: Now, I’m very very sad. I like living in the forest. But I face serious problems in the wild.

The third letter: Dear friends. Please take action at once. If human beings(人类) can get on well(相处好) with us, the world will become better and better.

【设计意图】通过进一步的仔细阅读,让学生回答问题,填写关键信息,培养学生的认真阅读,寻找细节的能力

Step Five Post- reading

As Middle School students , what can we do to protect giant pandas, and other wild animals?采取小组竞赛的方法看哪个组点子多,点子好?给优胜组颁奖激励。

Summary : Wild animals are our friends. Protecting wild animals is protecting ourselves.课堂渗透情感教育

Step Six Homework

1.Read and try to remember the words ,phrases , and sentences

2.Recite the text
