Welcome to our beautiful city——XINYU. Today, I will guide you to visit the Fairy Lake, which is called love holy ground and evaluated as one of the National Parks and 4A state level sceneries in China.

Fairy Lake is the mother lake of XINYU people. Some visitors might be curious about why people named “Fairy Lake” for this beautiful lake and the story about this lake related to fairy. Actually, the name of Fairy Lake is derived from a beautiful and romantic love story of Seven Fairies Coming Down to the Earth. As early as over 1600 years ago, a literature named < Hunt For God > which was written by the Eastern Jin Dynasty writer GANBAO , has described this legend of Seven Fairies Coming Down to the Earth. This story is the earliest record about “immortal capable of flight” in ancient books, and Fairy Lake, was the place where this story happened. Then let’s go to unveil the secret and charming veil of Fairy Lake and enjoy her natural beauty.

Fairy Lake is located in the southwest of XINYU city, which has an area of 198 square kilometers. There are several islands with more than 100 Scenic Spots in all over the place. Due to time limit, I introduce one of some Primary scenic Spots to you.

Now you can see this island which is full of Peach blossoms is the Peaches Blossom Island. It covers an area of 31 acreage, and consists of a big island and a small island. The island is planted peach flowers. In spring, the peach trees are in bloom and the willows are turning green. In summer, the trees are full of peaches. Now the gate coming to our view is the entry of Peaches Blossom Island, it looks like an antique architecture .This gate is 17 meters long, 4 meters wide and 5 meters high. Some careful friends will find this wall very special. Yes, it was made of old abandoned bricks, which were from Ming and Qing Dynasty during the rebuilding period of Xinyu Old City .Take a careful look, you can also find some inscriptions above, such as “xinyu town brick”,” yunan institute”,”jiangderun hall” and so on. Do not underestimate those small bricks; every single one is valuable to research the ancient culture and history of xinyu and Jiangxi. Thus, this gate is also a small museum of antique. If you step on Peaches Blossom Island, you can have a feeling that your face will turn red which just like the color of contrastable peach blssoms. You can take photos here and it will bring happiness and good luck to your love.

After visiting Peaches Blossom Island, let’s go toXianlai Island. As the subject of Seven Fairies Coming Down to the Earth, you can not only enjoy some scenic spots related to Seven fairies but also song and dance in Xianlai Island. Someone who is interested in singing even can sing a <Goddess Marriage (天仙配)> with weaving girl acting as a cowherd.
