英语中名词辨析讲解注解

1.sound，noise，voice
（1）sound指各种声音。
例：Allofasuddentherewasthesoundofshotsandacry.
突然间传来几声枪响和一声尖叫。
（2）noise主要指“噪音”。
例：Thenoiseofthestreetkeptusawakeallnight.街上的喧嚣声让我们彻夜难眠。
（3）voice指人的“嗓音”。
例：Thesingerlosthergoodvoicebecauseofabadcold.

因为重感冒的缘故，这个歌唱家失去了她的好嗓子。
知识点：
①allofasudden=suddenly此句中作状语成分，译为“突然”；
②keepsb./sth.+adj.译为：使某人/某物保持某种状态；
③because和becauseof都译为“因为”，because后接句子，becauseof后接名词。
2.cloth，clothes，clothing，dress
（1）cloth指做衣服等用的布料。如“布、毛料”等，是不可数名词。表达“一块布料”应说apieceofcloth。
