谈谈英语有标记主位性前置
一、什么是有标记主位性前置
一个英语句子可以被切分成主位（theme）和述位（rheme）两个部分。主位 是话语的出发点，是置于句首 的成分；述位是话语的核心内容，是置于主位后 的成分。从信息传递角度看，主位传递的是已知信息（given information），述 位传递的是新信息（new information）。在一般情况下，英语句子的主语和主位 重叠，即 句子的主语就是主位。例如：
The students of the school/are preparing for the terminalexaminations.
What puzzled me/was that he got hold of the key.
这两个句子中的主语分别为the students of the school 和whatpuzzled me，它们在句子中既是主语又 是主位，主语和主位重叠。但是，在有些情况下， 句子的主位不是句子的主语，句子的主语和主位不重叠。例 如：
Most of these problems/a computer can take in a stride.
Walking behind him/was a girl of fifteen,a boy of twelveand another girl of nine,all follo wing obediently.
第一句子中的主语是a computer ， 但主位却是most of theseproblems； 第二个句子中的主语是a gi rl of fifteen ， a boy oftwelve and another girl of nine，但主位却是walking behind him。这两 个句子中主位分别是句子的 宾语和句子谓语的一部分，这两个成分一般不在句子主位的位置上，但因为某种 原 因，特地被移至主位的位置上， 这种情况就叫做有标记主位性前置（marked themanticfronting）。
