M: Hello everybody. Welcome to the American Top Language school. I'm Peter Riely, your academic teacher. Let me tell you about the plan for today. There are three things on your timetable. Richard Campbell is a secondary school student. He is 15 years old. He lives in a small town in the North of England. Every morning, he gets up at eight o'clock, puts on his uniform and walks to school.

One hour later, the lessons start. The students usually study maths, English, history and geography in the morning. They usually study music and drawing and they play sports after lunch. They have a ten­minute break between classes. They also spend a long time in the school library, reading books and doing their homework.

Richard likes his school very much. His favourite subjects are English and geography, but he doesn't like math because he is not good at it.

Not all the students know how to prepare for exams.__1__ With teachers' help, students can prepare for exams much better, thus doing better in exams. Here are some ways that teachers can use to help students prepare for exams.

__2__For younger­grade students, create a list of every topic that they need to study.Older­grade students can still benefit from a list, even if it's just a list of all the topics they've studied that year. That's because a list gives them something to check off.
