　　Ihavealwaysadmiredthelonghealthylifemygrandparentshave.Theyareolderthan80yearsofageandtheyarestillaliveandkicking!Howdotheydothat!?Mygrandparentsplantvegetablesandgrowricethemselves;evenintheiroldagetheystillmakefoodforthemselves!Iguessthatiswhytheycanremainhealthy.Moreimportantlytheyremainhumbleandneveraskfortoomuchfromlife.Perhapsthatmakesthemcommon,buttheyliveahappylife.Mygrandmotheroncetoldmethis:”Idonotwanttolivelong,onlylongenoughforsomegrandchildrentoberunningaroundinmyhouse”.Iwanttolivealong,healthyandhappylifejustastheyhave.

　　Sincemygraduationfromprimaryschool,untilnow,everytimeonmybirthdayImakethesamewish.Iwishmyparentswillnotfightanymore.Iamnotcomplainingthattheygavemeabadchildhood,theyjustfightsomuch!Iamunhappybutthatdoesnotmeantheydonotloveme.Theydo!Theylovemewithalltheirheart.Ilovemyparentsalso;Iwantthemtoliveahappylifeaswell.

　　Imagineacarwithoutasteeringwheel.Toughtoimagine,right?Well,actuallythat’stheimageyouseeifapersonhasnofaith.Faithhelpstoguideusinourlives,encourageustopersist,andgivedirectionswhenwearelost.

　　Inthispeacefulera,ourlifepathsseemtobealreadywell-plannedanddetermined.Whatwehavetodoistofollow.Yes,wemayfacedifferentsortsofchallenges,butatleasttheyarelessharshwhencomparedtothoseinthepast.Wedonotneedtoworryaboutstarvingtodeath,orhowtoearnenoughmoneytobuyfoodforoursiblingsandsustainourlives.

　　Nevertheless,onecannotforeseethefuture.Accidentsdohappen.Forexample,acarmaysuddenlyappearinfrontofyou.Atsuchtimes,ifyoudidnothavethesteeringwheel,howcouldyoumakeasuddenturn?JustasnoonecouldforeseetheSichuanEarthquakenortheJapanTsunami.Iftheonebeingtrappedunderthedebrisdidnothavefaith,he/shewouldnothavesurviveduntilbeingrescued.Ifwedidnothavefaith,wecouldnotrecoverfromoursadnessandrebuildourhome.
