特殊名词的可数与不可数（考试热点）

①     chicken: 表示小鸡是可数的；表示鸡肉是不可数的。

②     fruit: 表示整体是不可数，表示若干种是可数。

③     hair: 表示整体的头发是不可数，表示部分或几根头发是可数。

④     interest: 表示兴趣和名胜古迹是不可数，但是表示多种兴趣是可数。

⑤     information: 表示情况、信息是不可数

⑥     knowledge: 表示知识是不可数

⑦     life: 表示泛指的生命是不可数；表示某人的性命是可数。

⑧     language: 表示一种语言或语言的种类时时可数，表示语言的统称是不可数。

⑨     message: 表示口信，信息是可数。

⑩     news: 表示新闻，消息是不可数。

⑪     smoke: 表示抽烟是可数，经常加不定冠词a;但表示烟却是不可数。

⑫     time: 表示时间是不可数，但表示一段时间，时刻是可数。

5.      不可数名词的修饰

①     只能修饰不可数名词的形容词：little / a little / much / a great deal of / a large amount of

②     只能修饰可数名词复数的形容词：a large number of / a great many / many / a great deal of /few / a few /a pair of / a number of / a variety of / a group of / scores of / dozens of / hundreds of / thousands of / tens of thousands of / millions of / billions of. Ect.

③     既可以修饰可数名词的复数又可以修饰不可数名词的形容词：a lot of / lots of / a large quantity of / plenty of /some

④     只可修饰可数名词的单数，谓语动词使用单数
