对文章有了详细而全面的理解之后,就要按照文章内容,上下文的逻辑关系,作出推理判断.阅读理解涉及词汇,语法,句型,段落结构,文化背景等各方面知识.答题时,要领会句子之间的逻辑关系,特别是相邻句子之间的关系,这样有利于理解全文.表示逻辑关系的标志词是连接词,副词,代词,介词短语,关系词,插入语等,通读时应特别注意.:if,because,though,as,which,it,

Well,this isnt just a problem for you.It was a problem for Wilson Bentley,too.In the 1870s,Wilson Bentley was just a teenager.His family lived in a small town in northeast America.Winters there were long and hard.Bentleys mother was once a school teacher. She taught him at home. Bentley didnt go to school until he was 14. He was a quiet boy, and loved reading his mothers books.But it was his mothers microscope (显微镜) that interested him. When the other boys were playing with balls, little Bentley was studying things like drops of water, flowers and snowflakes. Bentley loved watching snowflakes. For the next two years young Bentley spent many winter days in a cold room watching these ice crystals (晶体) under his microscope.The boy thought they were so beautiful that he started to draw pictures of them. But there were so many snowflakes that he couldnt draw them all.

How could he keep their beauty forever? Bentley thought of buying a camera.

The boy and his mother asked his father to buy one. But, his father didnt agree. He thought the whole thing was a bad idea. He thought the only thing a farmer should do was farming.

But finally Bentley did get a camera. For more than a year he tried to take pictures of snowflakes. On January 15, 1885, during a snowstorm, Bentley took the first ever photo of an ice crystal with his camera. It was the greatest moment of my life, Bentley said later.

For 13 years, Bentley worked quietly and took thousands of photos of ice crystals. Later he became known as Snowflake Bentley.

If you dont keep yourself warm enough, winter can be a time of illness.

During the winter months, people easily get colds and flu (流感). Many think they are the same, but these two illnesses are different.

Winter is a time for many exciting sports: sledding (雪橇), skating and skiing. Skating and skiing needs lots of skills (技巧). Sledding gives you good exercise and is lots of fun!

A sled looks like a boat. It can move easily over snow or ice. Early sleds were made of wood. Now some better sleds are made of glass.

Like many other animals, swallows will fly south when the days turn cold and the leaves from trees begin to fall. They travel many miles to find a warmer winter. This type of travel is called migration (迁徙).

During the cold winter days you may find it hard to wake up in the morning. Its warm and cozy (舒适的) in your bed.

In winter, many animals like to sleep, too. But their sleeps can be very long and deep. This kind of sleep is called hibernation (冬眠). During this kind of sleep, their temperatures go down, and hearts beat (跳动) slowly. They take very small breaths.

School kids Say Goodbye to Their Flying Friends

Jin Jun and his classmates at Shanghai Nanyang Middle School are not very happy to be back from holiday.

Not because they hate studying, but because some of their best friends on campus(校园) are gone: pigeons.

More than 100 pigeons used to(过去常常) fly around campus every day, making students smile during break time.But now, the birds are gone. Where? Now theyre all locked up in a bird cage. Bird flu(流感) has landed in Shanghai, and experts are afraid the pigeons might spread(传播)the disease if they keep flying around.

For safety, the school also asks students to stay away from the cage. I feel sad for those birds. Theyre my best friends, said Jin, a Junior 3 student. Last term I would bring corn to feed them, but I cant do that any more. I hope bird flu will end soon so I can play with the pigeons again.

Nanyang Middle School is not the only one to take pigeons off campus.

Students in Beijjng Fengtai Experimental Primary School also gave their pigeons to the local health department (当地卫生部门)on February 3.

Their pigeons are special birds. In 1999, students found two injured pigeons and gave them a home. To get money for bird food, the kids sold rubbish paper They took good care of the birds, and five years later, those two pigeons had become 265!
