Morning, everyone! Here is Anthony. I’d like to share a story of Zhou Yan with you today.

Zhou Yan, a Grade 8 student, went to see a doctor last week. What happened to him?   

His mum bought a mobile phone for him to use when he got into trouble. But Zhou used it to send messages to his friends all the time, even after going to bed.   Soon he started to do badly in the exams because he spent too much time playing with the phone. His mum got very angry with him, but he didn’t care. One day, his arms and fingers began to hurt and he could not see very well, so he had to go to hospital. The doctor told him that he had got "mobile phone disease".

A growing number of students are getting "mobile phone disease" because more and more teenagers, just like us, are buying mobile phones. Teachers and doctors suggest that we should try to use mobile phones less, especially at school. We should try to have fun in other ways, such as reading and doing sports.
