The wedding in German has some diverting and distinct customs which we never heard before. Next, my partners and I will make a brief introduction to the German’s wedding and help you appreciate the charms of exotic culture.

First, we can discuss the wedding dress of bride and groom,

Brides wear either very short trains or usually none at all attached to their wedding dress. Other accessories included may be a Diadem (Tiara), a little draw string purse and gloves.

Otherwise, groom usually wears a black suit or a smoking jacket. (dinner jacket)

Next, we talk something about the wedding ceremony,

Before the several days, the friends and family of the bride and groom create a wedding newspaper that is filled with pictures, articles, and stories of the engaged couple. The paper is sold at the reception to assist with the honeymoon expenses.

On the first day in the German marriage process, the bride and groom are legally married by a justice of the peace. As is the case in many countries, all marriages in Germany must begin with the civil ceremony（世俗婚礼）, which usually occurs in the week preceding the church ceremony and reception.

And when the wedding is beginning, the bride and groom is ordered to breaking dishes, pots, or anything that will break into pieces and then cleaning it up together is said to bring good luck. The idea is to prepare the bride and groom for facing life's trials together.

At some point during the reception, friends will kidnap the bride and the groom has to find her. Normally, he has to search in a lot of pubs and invite all people in there (or pay the whole bill). Following the reception, the bride and groom, like any other eager couple, head off（阻止）for their honeymoon. But sometimes this ritual（仪式）ends badly.

It has a wonderful custom during the wedding party, the first dance is danced by the bride and the groom, it is traditionally a waltz（华尔兹）. But the next dance is only for bride with her father and groom with mother, while bride's mother dances with groom's father.

After the wedding when the bride leaves the church, friends throw rice on them and it is said that they will get as many children as rice grains stay in the hair of the bride. And the hood of the wedding car is decorated with flowers, when the car procession drives through town, they honk their horns and others honk back to wish the couple good luck.

To make the first night as difficult as possible, friends of the couple do lots of funny or sometimes cruel things. They fill up the rooms with balloons, hide lots of alarm clocks in the bedroom, take apart（拆开）the bed, and so on.

The total cost is about 20,000 euro in German’s wedding, for most Germans, this is a rational number, and they wish to have an unforgettable wedding in their whole life.
