使用本仪器之前,请仔细阅读本使用说明书。它将使你能了解仪器的测量原理和正确使用本仪器,避免不必要的测量误差, 确保测量精度, 延长仪器的使用寿命。

Before the operation of this instrument, please read the operation manual for your correct operation, in order to avoid unnecessary measurement errors, ensure a measurement precision, and extend the service life.

PHB-4型便携式数字pH, 是一台由31/2位数字显示的pH计,它不仅适用于工矿、研究院所的化验室取样测定水溶液的酸度(pH)值和测量电极电位(mV)值,由于本仪器具有体积小,携带方便,特别适合于在无交流电源的地方作水溶液的酸度测定。

PHB-4 Portable pH meter is controlled by a single-chip microcomputer, and equipped with a display of temperature and pH, as well as 3 ½ digits display for automatic identification of buffer solution. It is applicable to mines and the laboratory of institutes for measurement of sample solution pH and electrode potential (mV) value. With the advantage of small size and can be carried about, it is especially applicable to the occasions without AC power supply for the measurement of solution pH.

三、仪器的使用方法

The use of the instrument

仪器供电电源为25号碱性电池,打开仪器背部的电池盖,即可放入电池。仪器在使用前,即测量溶液pH值前,先要标定。但这不是说每次使用前都要标定,一般当测量间隔时间比较短的情况下,每天标定一次已能达到要求。

The instrument power is supplied by 2 alkaline batteries No.5. Open the battery door at the back of the instrument and put in the batteries. Before the operation of the instrument, i.e. before the solution pH measurement, calibration shall be first carried out. However, calibration is not required every time before use. Generally, if the interval between two measurements is short, only 1 calibration every day is enough.

仪器采用二点标定的方式进行,具体按如下步骤进行:

The instrument adopts 2-point calibration with the specific procedures as follows:

(1) “on/off”开关,仪器进入“mV”测量状态

Press the “on/off” key to switch on. The instrument enters into the status of measuring “mV”.

(2) 按“模式”键仪器进入温度设置状态,“”指示符号闪烁,模式循环如下。

Press the “Mode” key to enter the temperature setting mode, and the indicating symbol “” will flash. The following is about the mode cycle:

mV”测量(显示MEASmV——温度设置(显示闪烁)——PH标定1(显示SRD1——PH标定2(显示SRD2——PH测量(显示MEASPH

Measurement of mV (displaying MEAS and mV) —— Temperature setting (displaying flashing ) ——PH calibration 1 (displaying STD1) ——PH calibration 2 (displaying STD2) —— pH measurement (displaying MEAS and PH).

(3) “▲” “▼”键,使仪器温度显示为标定溶液的温度,按“确认”键,把设置的温度存入仪器内,此时 指示符号停止闪烁;

Press “▲” or “▼” key to make the instrument indicate the temperature of the calibrated solution. Press “Enter” key, and record the set temperature into the instrument. Now, the indicating symbol “” will stop flashing.

(4) 然后按“模式”键,此时仪器显示“STD1”表明仪器进入第一点标定,(如果不需要进行标定则再按“模式”键二次,使仪器显示“MEAS”直接进入PH测量)

Then press “Mode” key, and the instrument will display “STD1”, indicating that the instrument is entering first point calibration, (if the calibration is not necessary, press “Mode” twice, and the instrument will display “MEAS” and enter measurement mode of pH value).

(5) 先把电极用蒸馏水清洗,然后把电极插在三种pH缓冲溶液中的任意一种,此时仪器显示第一点缓冲溶液的位置mV值,待读数稳定后按“确认”键,仪器显示第一点缓冲溶液的PH值,第一点标定结束。再按“模式”键此时仪器显示“STD2”表明仪器进入第二点标定状态。

Place the electrode that has been cleaned by the distilled water into any of the three kinds of pH buffer solution, and the instrument will display the potential value mV of the first point buffer solution. When the reading becomes stable, press “Enter” key, and the instrument will display the pH value of this buffer solution, ending the first point calibration. Then press “Mode” key”, the instrument will display “STD2”, indicating that the instrument is entering the second point calibration;

(6) 然后取出插在pH缓冲溶液中的电极,用蒸馏水清洗。把清洗过的电极插入另一种pH缓冲溶液中,此时仪器显示第二点缓冲溶液的位置mV值,待读数稳定后按“确认”键,仪器显示第二点缓冲溶液的PH值。再按“模式”键此时 STD2”熄灭,“MEAS”显示,表明仪器标定结束进入PH测定状态。

Draw out the electrode in the pH buffer solution, and clean it completely with the distilled water. Place the cleaned electrode into another pH buffer solution, and the instrument will display the potential value mV of the second point buffer solution. When the reading becomes stable, press “Enter” key, and the instrument will display the PH value of the second point buffer solution. Then press “Mode” key again, now the “STD2” will be replaced by “MEAS” in display, indicating that the instrument calibration has ended, entering the measurement mode of pH value.

经标定的仪器就可以进行pH值的测量了(在不进行新的标定前仪器存储最后一次标定的参数),但遇下列情况下,则仪器必须重新标定。

The calibrated instrument can be used for measuring pH value (the instrument will record the latest calibration parameter in case of no updated calibration). However, the instrument needs re-calibration if any of the following cases occurs:

(1) 溶液温度与标定时的温度有很大的变化时;

The solution temperature changing a lot in calibration;

(2) 离开溶液时间过久的电极;

The electrode out of the solution for a long time;

(3) 换用了新的复合电极;

Replaced by the new composite electrode;

(4) 测量浓酸(pH<2)或浓碱(pH>12)之后;

After the measurement of concentrated acid (pH2) or concentrated base (pH12) ;

(5) 测量含有氟化物的溶液而酸度在pH<7的溶液或较浓的有机溶液之后。

When measuring the fluoride-contained solution whose acidity comes after that of the solution of pH7 or the organic solution.

当被测溶液的温度与标定时缓冲溶液温度不同时,必须使“温度”调节器所指示的温度与被测溶液温度相同,然后即可测量溶液pH值。

When the temperature of the solution to be measured is different from that of the buffer solution, adapt the temperature to that of the solution to be measured, following the above Step (2) and (3). Then press “Mode” key three times till the instrument display “MEAS pH”, the pH value is ready to be measured.

测量电极电位(mV)值:

Measurement of electrode potential (mV) value

(1) 把测量选择开关拨向“mV”位置;

Press the “on/off” key to switch on. The instrument enters into the status of measuring “mV”.

(2) 接上各种适当的离子选择电极;

Connect various kinds of appropriate ion-selective electrode.

(3) 用蒸馏水清洗电极,用滤纸吸干;

Use the distilled water to clean the electrode, and dry it with the filter paper.

(4) 把电极插在被测溶液内,即可读出该离子选择电极的电极电位(mV)并自动显示“+”、“-”极性。

Place the electrode in the solution to be measured, the electrode potential (mV value) selected by this ion can be read, and “+” or”-” will automatically be shown.

当须在夜间进行测量时,可按下仪器左上角背光按钮,此时仪器背光点亮(背光点亮耗电将增加,将降低电磁使用寿命,不在夜间使用请不要按背光按钮)

If it the measurement is required to be carried out during night, press the back light button on the top left corner. Now the instrument will be lit up in a back light manner (back light mode will cause more power consumption and reduce the battery service life. Please don’t press the back light button if night use is not necessary.)

如果仪器出现不正常现象,可将仪器关掉,然后按住“确认”键,再将仪器打开,使仪器处于初始化状态。

In case of any abnormality of instrument, turn off the instrument, and long press “enter”. Turn on the instrument again for initialization.

四、仪器的维护

Maintenance

仪器性能的好坏,除了仪器本身结构之外,和良好的维护是分不开的,特别象pH计这类仪器,它必须具有很高的输入阻抗,而且使用环境则经常要接触化学药物,因此,合理的维护更有必要。

Apart from the structure of the instrument itself, appropriate maintenance also attaches great importance to the good performance of the instrument. Especially for these instruments like pH meters, large input impedance is required, and they are usually exposed to chemicals. Therefore, an appropriate maintenance is essentially necessary.

1. 仪器的输入端(即复合电极插口)必须保持高度清洁,电极插头不要经常拨下,以防止灰尘及高湿浸入。

The instrument input terminal (i.e. composite electrode socket) shall be kept extremely clean. The electrode shall not be plugged off in case of entry of dust and moisture.

2. 复合电极的电极头部很薄,因此,勿与硬物相碰,防止电极损坏。

The electrode head of the composite electrode is quite thin, which requires no bump to the hard objects in case of electrode damage.

3. 复合电极头部勿接触污物,如发现沾污可用医用棉花轻擦电极头部,或用0.1N的稀盐酸清洗。

Keep the electrode head away from the contaminants. If any contaminant is found, dab the electrode head with medical cotton, or use the 0.1 mol/L diluted hydrochloric acid to clean it.

4. 复合电极头部裂纹或老化(久放二年以上),则应调换新的电极,否则反应缓慢,甚至造成较大的如有测量误差,新的电极在使用之前需在3mol/L氯化钾溶液中浸泡24小时。

In case of cracks or aging of the electrode head (not in use for over 1 year), the electrode shall be replaced with a new one, otherwise it may cause a slow response, and even bigger measurement errors. The new electrode needs immersing in the 3 mol/L potassium chloride solution for 24 hours before use.

5. 仪器采用了场效应晶体管和CMOS集成电路,它们很容易击穿,因此,在检修时应注意电烙铁的接地必须良好,否则要拨去电源插头才能进行焊接。

When using the buffer solution for calibration of the instrument, the reliability of the buffer solution shall be ensured. A low precision of buffer solution will lead to measurement errors. You may prepare the buffer solution yourself, following the procedures attached below.

6. 用缓冲溶液标定仪器时,要保证缓冲溶液的可靠性,因为缓冲溶液精度低,将导致测量结果的误差,缓冲溶液可以自行配制,配制方法附后。

When the top left corner of the instrument LCD shows “LOBAT”, please replace the battery.

7. 当仪器液晶显示左上角出现“LOBAT”,请更换电池。

Please avoid long-time exposure of LCD to the bright sunlight to extend the service life of LCD. Make sure to avoid bumps to hard objects in case of display screen damage.

8. 请不要让强烈阳光长时间直射液晶显示器,以延长液晶显示的使用寿命,必须防止硬物碰撞,划伤显示器表面玻璃。

In the event that the instrument is not in use for a long time, please draw out the battery.

附录1:缓冲溶液的配制

Appendix 1: Preparation of Buffer Solution

1. pH4缓冲溶液(0.05mol/kg邻苯二甲酸氢钾溶液),称取(先在115±5下烘干 2h3h)邻苯二甲酸氢钾10.12g溶于蒸馏水,在容量瓶中稀释至1000ml

pH4 buffer solution (0.05 mol/kg potassium acid phthalate solution). Weigh (dried in 115±5 for 2 to 3 hours) 10.12g potassium acid phthalate and dissolve it in the distilled water, and then dilute it to 1000ml in the measuring flask.

2. pH7缓冲溶液(0.025mol/kg磷酸二氢钾和0.025mol/kg磷酸氢二钠混合溶液)。分别称取先在115±5下烘干 2h3h的磷氢二钠3.53g和磷酸二氢钾3.39g溶于蒸馏水,在容量瓶中稀释至1000ml。所用蒸馏水应预先煮沸15min30min

pH6 buffer solution (mixed solution of 0.025 mol/kg potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 0.025 mol/kg disodium hydrogen phosphate). Weigh (dried in 115±5 for 2 to 3 hours) respectively 3.53g disodium hydrogen phosphate and 3.39g potassium dihydrogen phosphate and dissolve them in the distilled water, and then dilute it to 1000ml in the measuring flask. The adopted distilled water shall be boiled for 15 to 30 minutes ahead of time.

3. pH9缓冲溶液(0.01mol/kg硼砂钠溶液),称取硼砂钠3.80g(注意:不能烘)溶于蒸馏水,在容量瓶中稀释至一升,蒸馏水应预先煮沸15min30min

pH9 buffer solution (0.01 mol/kg Na2B4O7·10 H2O solution). Weigh 3.80g Na2B4O7·10 H2O (note: drying is not permitted), and dissolve it in the distilled water, and then dilute it to 1L. The adopted distilled water shall be boiled for 15 to 30 minutes ahead of time.
