常用结构:

4 、anxious adj.

表示“担心的”、“焦虑的”,一般用介词about / for。如:

  He is anxious about (或for) her safety. 他担心地的安全。

表示“热切的”、“渴望的” 

  anxious之后一般用介词for  

He is anxious for a bike. 他渴望有一辆自行车。

We are all eager for (或after) knowledge. 我们都来知心切。

   可接“(for sb. )+不定式”,表示“渴望或想要(某人)做某事”如:

  He is anxious  to marry her. 他渴望能与她结婚。

  He was anxious  for me to go. 他想要我去。

  可接that从句,且从句谓语一般都用“should+动词原形”。如:

  Im anxious  that they should win. 我很希望他们会获胜。

5、annoy的用法

annoy (vt.)使烦恼、使生气;引申可作“使烦恼,使恼怒”解,强调经常的、不断的干扰、激怒或苦恼。只用作及物动词,其后多接名词、代词作宾语。

annoying (adj)讨厌的、恼人的;annoyed (adj) 使烦恼,使恼怒

be annoyed with sb生某人的气;be annoyed at/ by sth因某事生气;be annoyed to do sth因做某事而生气;

如:His sister was annoyed with her boy friend. 

后可接不定式或that引起的从句。

如:She is annoyed (to learn) that he has not answered her letter. 

be annoyed结构一般不用very修饰,但可用much或very much修饰。练习:

The mother was ___ when she heard the ___ news.

6、What if…?的用法

 表示假设

what if 用于提出假设时,意思是“假若……”“假若……怎么办”“要是……将会怎么样”,其后句子可用陈述语气(用一般现在时),也可用虚拟语气(用一般过去时或should+动词原形)。如:

What if she finds out that you’ve lost her book?  如果她发现你把她的书丢了怎么办?

But what if somebody decides to break the rules? 但是如果有人决定打破这些规则呢What if it rains when we can’t get under shelter? 假若下起雨来,我们又没处避雨可怎么办?

What if I came tomorrow instead of this afternoon? 我今天下午不来,明天来,怎么样?

What if we stayed at home for a change? 我们改变一下做法,这次呆在家里。怎么样?

What if I should fall sick and not be able to work? 万一我生病不能工作的话怎么办?

从句用虚拟语气时,若是针对过去情况,从句则用过去完成时。如:

What if no one had been there? 假如没有人去过那里的话,会怎么样?

表示邀请或建议

What if…表示邀请或建议时,意思是“如果……怎么样?”“如果……如何?”。如:

What if you join us for lunch? 同我们一起吃午饭怎么样?

What if we moved the sofa over here? Would that look better? 要是我们把沙发挪到这边来会怎么样?看上去会不会好一些
