摘要

老舍的长篇小说《骆驼祥子》是一部悲剧作品，自从问世以来一直以它的悲剧性激励着和启发着读者。小说主人公的悲惨命运，使很多处境与他相似的，处于社会底层的劳动人民对自己的前途更感到渺茫，产生一种不寒而栗的恐惧。甚至一位经常乘坐人力车的富商在看过电影以后，有很长一段时间不忍心在乘坐街头到处都是的人力车。作品中一个人力车夫的不幸遭遇，竟然使处境完全不同的人们对于实际生活中所有人力车夫都产生了深切的同情。这不是一般的触动，而是使人心灵感到震惊，是对社会现实深刻的反思。正如一位哲人谈到悲剧的美感内涵和作用那样，作品通过“激起怜悯与恐惧”给人们以陶冶和启迪，发人深思。

《骆驼祥子》在思想上、艺术上的魅力和成就，来自它的深沉的悲剧性。本文就从这个角度来分析一下这部小说。

悲剧作品总是呼唤着人们共同正视生活的残酷，斗争的艰巨和精神上的痛苦。老舍的长篇小说《骆驼祥子》就是这样一部悲剧作品，作品描写的洋车夫骆驼祥子是中国现代文学创作中较早出现的劳动者形象之一,他的人生道路的坎坷更多地来自于其自身的性格和社会的影响。表现在三个方面，即：人物安于命运安排的性格，当时社会的黑暗，以及婚姻的不幸。祥子这一形象向人们提出了一个十分严肃和迫切的社会问题，那就是下层人民的命运和道路问题。显示了这部悲剧作品的深刻思想意义和现实意义。
