Yunlong lake

Yunlong lake is situated in Xuzhou city of Jiangsu province. It adjoins Hanshan hill in the west, borders yunlong mountain in the east and connects with Dashantou hill and Pig hill in the south. The lake covers an area of 5.8square kilemeters, with a road built in the middle, which is like a jade strip cutting the lake into the eastern and western parts. Yunlong lake can be divided into three major districts according to their function: the eastern part for tourism, the western part for natural reserve and the south part for entertainment.

东部分：let’s go to the eastern part first.(观景台-小金山-杏林)（刘备泉-刘备茶苑-汉画像石馆）（杏花村-季子挂剑台-苏公塔）

观景台：first of all, we have seen the building located at the peak of the yunlong mountain, it is the viewing platform, from there, you can have a bird eye view of Xuzhou.

小金山：lying at the foot of the yunlong mountain, the small golden mountain is 45 meters above the sea level, with a colored glaze tower standing on it. The tower is constructed in the architectural style of the song dynasty. Climbing up the spiral stairs to the top of the tower, you will have a panoramic view of the yunlong lake.

杏林：stretches of apricot trees grow at the foot of the mountain between yunlong mountain and the small golden mountain. During early spring, apricot flowers are in full blossom, forming an enchanting view.

刘备泉：now, please follow me, we are going to see next spot, the liubei spring. It is 30 centers above the Sanrangting, Sanrangting means give Xuzhou to liubei three times, and liubei took over Xuzhou as the xuzhoumu finally. It is also called the 流碧 spring, as the water looks green.

刘备茶苑：Not far from the liubei spring, there is a building of Qing dynasty building style called liubei teahouse. In the teahouse, we can enjoy the tea ceremony of china to enjoy the culture of china.

汉画像石馆：we can see that close to liubei teahouse is the museum of Han stone sculpture, and in front of the magnificent building is the new museum of the Han stone sculpture. As we know, Han stone sculpture is one of the three treasure of the Han dynasty.

杏花村：now, you can see the table with three characters “杏花村” in front of it, there is another tablet “十里一色”, which describes the beautiful sightseeing of apricot forest in spring.

季子挂剑台：there is a legend that in 554 BC, during the spring and autumn period, a man named Jizha from yanling went to visit many countries. When he visited the prince of Xuzhou, he and the prince became good friends, and the prince like his sword very much. Jizha wanted to give the sword to the prince as a present, but the sword was the identity of Jizha and he had to visit other countries, so he promised on his mind to give it the prince when he finished the job. unfortunately, when he came back to Xuzhou , the price had died, he went to pay his respect to the prince and removed the sword hanging on a tree next to the tomb to keep his promise. In order to demonstrate the honesty and integrity of Jizha, the government built the construction of the “ hanging sword quarter”

苏公塔：now, the tower we come to is sugong tower. It’s a replica building in song dynasty style with 26.17 meters high. Sushi worked in Xuzhou as the governor for a year and one mouth. So he had won the love and esteem for his outstanding achievement, and the tower is built to honor him.

南部分：please look at the two islands, one is Sugong islang and the other is 鸣鹤洲 and through the lounge bridges between the two islands connected. They are the culture of 苏东坡, including 东坡苑，the footprint map of 苏东坡，鹤鸣 court and so on.The south part has a shape of “w” with a line in its head. If you compare the small south lake as gentle passionate eyes, then the four bridge is like the eyebrow.

龙华桥：The longhua bridge lies at the end of hunan road. It looks like a dragon swimming in the water. The longhua bridge get its name that there is a temple named longhua, so bridge named after the temple.

云汇桥：The yunhui bridge lies at the middle of the hunan road. It connect the yunlong mountain with yunlong lake. The longhua bridge and the yunhui bridge connect together like good friends holding each other.

解忧桥：There is a story about the jieyou bridge. The second prince of Chu state had a daughter named Liu jieyou, in order to keep the peaceful life of the people, Liu jieyou married with the king of wusun state. She contribute all her life to the people, so the local people named the bridge after her to remember her.

泛月桥：The fanyue bridge lies at the middle of the south lake. The minhezhou is on its east and the sugongdao is on its west. The bridge looks like a half moon and a ship. Standing on the bridge, we can see all the scene of the south lake. It seems that we are standing in a picture. The most attracting thing of the bridge is the painting on the top of the bridge. It is made up of 17 pieces of pictures of the beautiful scene of Xuzhou. Form here, we can know a lot about Xuzhou.

If you want to have a good view of the south lake. There are three places for you.

鸣鹤阁：first, we can go to the Heming tower. The tower located in the center and the highest place of the Heminzhou, it is also the whole area of landscape control points and the line of sight focus. Through the setting of square and step, Minhege and Jiugaoyuan connect closely.

泛月桥：The second place is Fanyue bridge. From the bridge, we can have a good sight of 鸣鹤洲 and 苏公岛 at the same time.

南湖水榭：The last place is the waterside pavilion on the Sugong island. It lies at the west part of the island. It is one of the landmark building. From here, we can see all the beautiful scene of the lake.
