一、教材分析

本模块以Films and TV Programmes为话题,旨在通过模块教学使学生运用所学词汇口头评价自己喜欢的电影、电视节目,介绍自己喜欢的导演;正确理解介绍电影的文章,获取信息并回答相关问题;在阅读过程中正确把握每一段落的主旨大意,学会从背景、情节、角色和演员等方面写影视评论,并能在文章中准确运用频度副词。帮助学生正确看待电影、电视的功能,并通过介绍好的影视作品使学生增长科学文化知识,开阔视野、丰富生活。

二、学生分析

由于所教授班级大部分学生的基础较为薄弱,单词量少,导致在课堂上听不懂老师讲课、课下不会做作业的现象,长此以往便让学生失去了学习英语的兴趣和激情,即使想要学好英语也觉得力不从心。因此,我个人认为,想要激发学生的学习兴趣和提高学习成效,除了需在课堂授课时调动课堂气氛、吸引学生的注意力外,还需要针对不同基础的学生布置相应的作业加以巩固和运用。

在本模块的教学过程中,我充分利用了网络资源和PPT制作课件及教室中的多媒体设备,这不仅使我的课堂气氛更加活跃,在一定程度上也让学生更为容易地吸收本模块的相关知识。

在课堂导入《大家猜一猜》的游戏环节中,我利用了多媒体设备和PPT。先是找到一些最近热映、大部分学生所熟知(或迷恋)的经典电影或电视剧剧照、图片等,粘贴在PPT上,学生根据我的英文口述或播放电影(电视剧)中的主题曲(插曲等)来猜猜这部电影或电视剧的名字,猜对的可以加分。以游戏的方式导入本课,让学生轻松地了解本课的学习主题的同时,也能激发学生的学习兴趣。

在语法讲解环节,为让学生更加清楚清晰地学习语法,除了在PPT上展示语法要点和例句,还附带部分知识点的作业练习,通过课堂现场练习和提问,加强和巩固新知识。

Step I: Lead-in

Step II Pre-reading

Show the poster of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on the screen. Then ask the Ss to do Activity 2 on page 52. Let them read the film review quickly and choose the best summary of the film.

Ask students to answer questions on PPT and the book of page 52, and do some exercise.

Step III Reading

Before reading, play the tape for the Ss. Ask them to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

In this step, get the Ss to comprehend the passage quickly and accurately.

The teacher check the answers with the whole class.

Ask students to discuss the structure of the passage.

How many parts can it be divided into?

What are they?

What’s the topic sentence?

What’s the third part and what’s the topic sentence of this part?

the Ss will read the passage carefully to get the detailed information. They can also guess the meaning of the new words in the context and then do Activities 3 and 4.

Step IV Post-reading

In this step, the Ss will finish Activity 5 on page 53. And then ask them to discuss the writing techniques and purpose.

Group work. Discuss the writing techniques of the film review in groups of five. The writing techniques include the writing characteristics and the writing style. And then answer the following questions.

1.What is the writing characteristic of this passage?

2. Wonderful! What about the writing style of this passage?

3. Right. Thank you. What is the writing purpose of this film review?

Step V Text Retelling

Ask the Ss to retell the text with about 100 words. First, do Activity 1 in WRITING on page 58 and fill in the chart according to the text. Show the text chart.

七、教学特色(如为个性化教学所做的调整,为自主学习所做的支持、对学生能力的培养的设计,教与学方式的创新等)200字左右

1.通过学生课堂上回答问题、平时作业的完成情况及月考成绩分析后,将学生分为AB两组,针对其不同的英语基础布置相应难度的作业。

2.在课堂上,为了激发学生学习英语的兴趣,(在完成教学内容的情况下)最后的5-10分钟,我会教他们唱英文歌曲、播放英文电影让学生写下电影中的5句话或听英文歌填空,(作业优秀的前5名可加1分);偶尔也会给他们讲讲笑话,说说娱乐八卦,或展示一些漂亮优美的图片。

3.为了培养和提高学生的口语,我根据不同班级的不同人数,分为12-14组不等,每组为4人左右,并规定每天必有1组同学找我用英语聊天(每组组员名单和聊天顺序已排列粘贴在黑板旁),聊天内容不限,但必须5句话以上
